St Joseph’s Pastoral Care Team supports church members through visits, prayer, listening, home communion and practical help.

 

The team is led by the Pastoral Minister and includes 8 volunteers who visit people at home, in residential homes and sometimes in hospital. Their work helps members feel remembered, valued and connected to the church family.

Pastoral care includes spiritual support, emotional care, practical assistance and regular follow-up. Safeguarding and confidentiality are important, and all team members receive training to help keep both themselves and those being visited safe.

​

Although pastoral care can be demanding, it is a rewarding ministry.

It brings comfort, hope and encouragement, while strengthening the life of St Joseph’s Church through compassion, service and Christian love.
